Solving Problems

By showing that simple designs can move, the designer can more effectively portray a story and can communicate more efficiently with the audience. This type of media lets the designer tell a more in-depth story to the consumer to gain more attention and more views. “Motion Graphics artists must impart a very specific message about a subject to their audience using a combination of text elements, animations, and imagery” (Garrott, 2015). These graphics solve a simple problem within the company. It also serves as a short explanation of what the brand or company encompasses. This type of marketing can also be used across many different platforms to further increase the size of the audience and successfully keep them entertained.

The Sea Turtle Rescue organization needed a motion graphic to solve the need of enhanced user experience and interactivity. To solve this problem, multiple ideas were explored so the options for a solution seemed unlimited. After the development process was done, it was easier to choose which design was more efficient in portraying the Sea Turtle Rescue organization. It is important to showcase all ideas to the client to ensure that, in every step of the design process, they can be persuaded into a good idea and drawn away from the less acceptable options. Although every idea cannot be implemented, each design idea was an important part of the design process. A designer must be able to reject ideas to focus all the needed energy towards the appropriate design.
